Cluster Funked - strategic shooter

This is a fast abstract shooter where the collecting and repositioning of pawn like turrets, if utilised effectivly, will give the stratigic advantage,. The game is a rebuilding of Gyro-Phyter a game that was nearing completion when the source code was stolen,.

Above file is the furthest along iteration that has yet been recovered,. ( anyone I may have given a later iteration to please do inform me! ) alas, it lacks many improvements that had been made and are presumed lost,. It is a decent demo game as it is so there you go.

This new rebuilding of the game is strangly different,. matching gameplay from playing is a difficult feat,. and I have not done so directly, the screen rez is changed and the play feels quite different, however the main play elements remain, and are in fact expanded in this new rebuild. Currently I'm working on the A.I. that should nearly match the players actions for the red side,. however that is not in this demo quite yet,. the current A.I. [ appears with the 3rd wave of red ] is not smart and some times plain useless. The Red Wells, Drones, and Pawns, do provide a good deal of strategic shooting action for your enjoyment,. I do hope to eventualy get a better A.I. implemented to increase the challenge and length of the gameplay experiance. Currently I would suspect a half-hour, or so, to learn and beat this game,.

Suppose I should explain some of the game for you; Holding the "I" KEY when over a green Pawn picks it up. TAP the "I" KEY to drop the Pawn,. you may carry around five of these. When droped Pawns the face same direction as the player. Pawns always move and shoot towards the nearest Red unit. You have no direct control over your Drones although they will tend to pull turrets from the Well you are closest to,. again usefull for stratagy. The Player fireing is auto as long as the "K" KEY is being held down, HOWEVER the gun heats up,. so it quickly fires very slowly, short burst fireing is recomended! This is all the more crucial when attempting to take down a Red Well, as the source of the Red spawning it is tought to maintain a clear line of fire. Use your Pawns, and time your fireing bursts to win. The first task is just to take down one Red Well and then it will begin to produce Green units for you,. It's that easy. ( I'll make a video and post in a few,. easier to show then tell. )
